THE SCOPE

With 30 years of history, today Gaming1 is one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance (casino games, sports betting and poker). Its evolution at the heart of innovation is accompanied by a diversification and specialization of positions, with the creation of new cutting-edge jobs. As part of its sustained growth, Gaming1 is looking for an Data Architect to join its Architecture team.

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy, with a focus on Data Mesh architecture, to align with business goals and objectives
  • Lead the implementation of Data Mesh principles, including domain-driven ownership, decentralized data ownership, and data product thinking, to transform our data ecosystem
  • Design and maintain data models, ensuring they are scalable, efficient and optimized for performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust data integration pipelines and ETL processes
  • Define and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data quality, security and compliance within the Data Mesh framework
  • Lead data & BI professionals functionally, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Drive the design and development of the company's data architecture, “gluing” BI and Data Science architecture, selecting appropriate tools and technologies while aligning with Data Mesh principles
  • Utilize Python and Power BI for data manipulation, analysis and scripting tasks as needed
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, processes and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements
YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role in a data-driven organization
  • Expertise in Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes and data integration
  • Experience with data modeling and database design
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
  • Data governance and data quality expertise
  • In-depth understanding and practical experience with Data Mesh architecture principles
